Speedflex Q&A – Casey Hewitt
We’re heading into summer 2017 by getting to know Speedflex London’s newest Personal Trainer to join the team, Casey.
Who is your hero/who do you look up to?
My heroes growing up have always been my parents. They’re without doubt the hardest workers I know and have always supported me in what I do.
Where in the world would you most like to visit?
I have had a fair amount of travel experience but the list of places I want to go to is still huge. I’d say the number one place on my list is Peru, that place looks incredible.
What’s your favourite film and song?
This question was so hard because I love a movie! However I have managed to narrow it down to two movies. My two favourites would have to be ‘Step Brothers’ and ‘I Am Legend’. My favourite song of all time is ‘Superstition’ by Stevie Wonder. Who doesn’t love that song?
If you could have any job in the world, which one would you choose?
Luckily I already have the best job I could ask for. I love being a Personal Trainer so I wouldn’t change that.
What’s the best piece of advice anybody has given you?
The best advice I have ever received is to always be present in the moment. If you think too much about the past or the future you will put less concentration into what you are doing right now.
If you were stranded on a desert island and you could choose three things to have, what would they be?
If I was stranded on a desert island all I’d need is a speedboat, a satnav and Bear Grylls to help me get home!
You’re hosting a dinner party and can invite any three people (dead or alive) who would you invite and why?
If I hosted a dinner party I would have to invite Will Ferrell for the banter, Dwayne Johnson because he seems like a great guy and Morgan Freeman – for life advice.
What one item would you want to save if your house was on fire?
If I could save one item from a house fire it would be my family photo album… or my phone to call the fire brigade.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This was the hardest question for me. I’m a big foodie. But if I could choose one meal it would have to be chicken, chorizo, sweet potato and a mixed salad to go with it. Nice and simple.
For you, what’s the best thing about training at Speedflex?
The best thing about training at Speedflex for me is the sense of community that you get here. Everyone knows each other and everyone gets on so well which makes it such a comfortable and great place to train. Also, the workouts are unique and are always changing which means that you never know what workout you’ll be doing until you step through the door.
