Speedflex Chairman, Graham Wylie, set himself a challenge back in December 2018: to burn 10,000 calories (what he anticipated he would consume over the festive break) in one calendar month.
Attending an average of 3 sessions per week in a typical month, his usual calorie burn is somewhere between 4,000 and 4,500, so this was a big undertaking, and he threw himself into it wholeheartedly.
To spur him on, Graham was asking for sponsorship for his efforts with donations going to his charitable foundation, The Graham Wylie Foundation, which helps, educates and inspires children in the North East.
There was more too, for every donation made, Graham would personally match it pound for pound.
Fast forward 16 days into January and Graham made it past the 10,000 calorie finish line, and below is a summary of just how he achieved it!
The fundraising efforts matched his training efforts and by the end of January the total amount of money being donated to the charity is a staggering £24,860.
