I highly recommend Speedflex. After the first session I was hooked. I can’t begin to explain how it has changed my whole outlook on fitness. The sessions are extremely uplifting. I have been going an average of 3 to 4 times a week for over a month now and I love it.
When I started I found some of the auxiliary exercises difficult, but I am seeing an improvement each week. The best part of the session is the other people involved and the Trainers. Not once have I felt intimidated or embarrassed that I was not as good or as fit as them. Everyone supports each other.
The Trainers are so supportive and have given me great tips on my technique. Because I go mornings and nights I get to work with a variety of Trainers, and each of them puts their own personality into the workout which stops it from being boring. I really look forward to the sessions and miss them when I am not doing them.
It’s great for all ages and all fitness levels, there is a big TV screen which links up a belt you wear to register your heart rate and it has different colours for the effort, representing the percentage of your heart rate. The red zone being my ultimate goal.
Getting into the red zone is awesome and I am determined to get more minutes in the red zone each week. I have belonged to a few gyms but this team is the best I have ever seen. They all know your name, they are so warm and friendly.
I feel so lucky to have Speedflex at my gym; and the best part is the way the machines are designed so you are only working your muscles when they shorten, you can release at any time and there’s no pressure. It’s so clever and there are no sore body parts afterwards which usually makes you not want to go the next day, so now there is no excuse not to attend the day after.
I highly recommend it – and for the record I am not a super athletic type – I am one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in the session.
